Maria Aleida
Coloratura Soprano
Cuban-born soprano Maria Aleida is enjoying a successful international career as a high-coloratura soprano singing opera and concert engagements in theaters, stadiums, and arenas around the world. Her impressively high and easy singing has been lauded by critics as “stratospheric,” with “laser-like precision,” and “seemingly unlimited above the staff.” As a regular guest soloist alongside world-famous tenor Andrea Bocelli since 2011, Maria Aleida has toured internationally to sold-out concerts in Saudi Arabia, Australia, The United Kingdom, Macau, and throughout the continents of North America, South America, and Europe. In 2023, Maria Aleida joined tenor Andrea Bocelli in several concert tours in Mexico, Portugal, Spain, and Poland. In 2024 Maria Aleida will join tenor Marcelo Alvarez in a recital at the Royal Opera of Wallonia in Liege, Belgium.
Edward Salles
Tenor
Edward moved to the United States from Cuba in 2021, and has since performed in private events and concerts at Fischer Island, St. Hugh Catholic Church Steinway Concert Series, Museo of Cuban Diaspora, Miami Beach Convention Center, and Miami Dade County Auditorium. In 2023, he received master classes from international renowned Mexican American tenor, Arturo Chacon Cruz. He later participated in a concert alongside Arturo Chacon Cruz at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. Edward has performed and sung opera excerpts from I Pagliacci and Rigoletto in concert version with orchestra. He has worked in many theatrical productions, as well as operas, zarzuelas, and operettas. At present, Edward continues to train his voice with acclaimed opera voice coach and Vero Beach Opera's Artistic Consultant, Manny Perez. He has recently been preparing for the role of Phantom in the Phantom of the Opera.
